The Cutaway at Barangaroo update

The Cutaway is one step closer to being transformed into one of Sydney’s premier event and cultural facilities.

The State Significant Development Application (SSDA) for a new cultural facility in the Cutaway at Barangaroo was on public exhibition until Wednesday 29 March 2023. The Response to Submissions Report is now available and procurement is underway to deliver the bespoke fit-out design created by FJC studio. 

The proposed fit-out will accommodate for multiple event and gallery spaces, back of house areas, a dedicated First Nations education space, amenities, offices and supplementary retail and café. It will also include enclosure of the existing voids and a new façade adjacent to Nawi Cove, including landscaping.

The construction contract for the fit-out is expected to be awarded by late 2023.
