Bank Street Pop-up Park now open

A new pop-up park offering a free outdoor space for community use has been opened by the NSW Government, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing Blackwattle Bay Precinct urban renewal.

Designed by OCULUS and delivered by Regal Innovations, the Pop-up Park features a basketball half-court, outdoor fitness equipment, handball court, shaded areas to sit and relax and scooter paths for children to enjoy.

Located near the southern pylon of the Anzac Bridge in Pyrmont, the park is a temporary activation to provide the local community with immediate access to some brand-new public amenity, while design and planning for the long-term 1.1 hectare Bank Street Park progresses. The NSW Government will be seeking community feedback on the preferred design in the coming months.
