NSW Infrastructure Pipeline
The NSW Infrastructure Pipeline brings together NSW Government infrastructure projects expected to come to market in the next 3 to 5 years with a minimum capital value of over $50 million to provide industry with the best possible information to enable planning and resourcing. It consists of 2 lists: projects funded for delivery and projects with funds committed for planning, and fulfils Commitment 4 of The NSW Government Action Plan: a ten point commitment to the construction sector.
The NSW Government is committed to the continued transparency of its project pipeline, to attract investment and early participation in the design, construction, management and operation of major infrastructure projects across the whole of NSW. The pipeline set outs the upcoming demands on both government and private industry. This highlights the importance of the collaborative partnership of industry and government to deliver the projects for the people of NSW.
The Pipeline has been prepared by the NSW Government Construction Leadership Group (CLG), which is led by Infrastructure NSW and was established to drive reform across government in the development, procurement and delivery of infrastructure projects. All the key NSW Government agencies engaged in the delivery of the large long-term pipeline of infrastructure investment are represented on the CLG.
The Pipeline outlines infrastructure proposals under development by the NSW Government which:
- have a minimum capital value of $50 million
- cover the transport, health, education, justice, sports and culture sectors
- are expected to come to market over the next 3 to 5 years.
The Pipeline is not intended to be a comprehensive list and includes not only fully funded projects but also infrastructure projects that are still in development.
The Pipeline has been updated in June 2022 to reflect relevant projects provided for in the 2022-23 Budget and has been published as part of the 2022-23 State Infrastructure Plan.
It can also be viewed as a live Project Pipeline Portal below.
The proposals in the NSW Infrastructure Pipeline are in various stages of development; the document includes both fully funded projects and projects that are not yet funded, but which are expected to come to market in the next three to five years.
To ensure information is up-to-date, the pipeline will be reviewed and updated every six months.
