Sydney is cementing its position on 'centre stage' for hosting
international events, with the creation of a 12-hectare world class
convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct at Darling
Harbour.
This is a vital and exciting project that will attract
international conventions and exhibitions to NSW.
Infrastructure NSW (INSW) is managing the delivery of the
precinct on behalf of the NSW Government.
Expressions of Interest to develop the new and expanded
facilities closed in November 2011, with plans to appoint the
successful bidder in late 2012. The new and expanded facilities are
expected to be complete by late 2016.
INSW has begun consulting with major stakeholders for this
exciting project and will continue to consult and provide updates
on the project during 2012.
