Bankwest Stadium achieves world gold standard

Bankwest Stadium has announced it has achieved LEED v4 Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council.

The intention of LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is to create healthy buildings for occupants and for the environment. It is the most widely used green building rating system in the world.

The design and delivery of Bankwest Stadium focused on initiatives within multiple key categories, including innovation, water savings, energy efficiency, transportation options and materials selection during construction.

Acting Minister for Sport Geoff Lee said this achievement in sustainability shows Bankwest Stadium is much more than just a great place to watch footy. Read the full media release.
